Homeowner / DIY

Installing your own solar? Read this first.

You probably don't need the full Solar Design Lab platform. It's built for installers and engineers running multiple projects a month. For a single homeowner job, that's overkill.

But you might need a stamped plan set. Most AHJs require one before they'll issue a permit. We can do that.

The DIY path

  1. 1. Send us the basics. Address, satellite photo of the roof, the equipment list (panels, inverter, mounting), and your AHJ.
  2. 2. We design and stamp. One of our PEs does the layout, electrical, and AHJ-specific labels. You get a stamped PDF, the same plan set we'd produce for an installer.
  3. 3. You file the permit. We don't pull permits. That's between you and your AHJ.
