About
I built this because design was the bottleneck.
I'm Ryan Gittens. I'm a licensed PE. I've spent the last decade stamping plans for hospitals, schools, and commercial installs. Solar projects where tolerances actually matter and a wrong label costs someone a $40,000 shutdown.
But residential solar is where the volume lives. Thousands of PV plansets, across hundreds of jurisdictions: every AHJ quirk, every utility interconnection rule, every oddball roof, service upgrade, and panel swap. After that many, you’ve seen just about everything a resi project can throw at you, and the same engineering standard from the commercial work carries straight into every one of them.
I've been on both sides of this. I've been the engineer with a backlog three weeks deep, watching projects pile up. I've been the contractor waiting on a planset to schedule a crew. Same problem from two angles.
The problem isn't talent. It's the workflow.
So I built Solar Design Lab. Your team does the design. The platform does the engineering, no manual CAD. Not as a hobby. To the standards of the commercial work I do every day.
The platform runs the same compliance logic I use to sign my own work. If I wouldn’t sign it, it doesn’t ship. That standard runs on every design you place, automatically. And when you want a second set of eyes, expert support is right in the workspace.
That's the whole pitch.
