Is my first planset really free?
Yes. Your first finished planset is on us, no credit card required. Design it, export it, use it. We want you to see exactly what the platform produces before you pay anything.
When am I charged?
Only when you export a finished planset. Designing, exploring, and revising cost nothing. One export of a completed planset spends one credit.
Do revisions cost extra?
No. Once a planset has spent its credit, revisions and re-exports of that same planset are free, including changes for AHJ corrections. One planset, one credit, however many revisions it takes.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits never expire. Buy a bundle when the price makes sense and use it whenever the work shows up.
What does Pro cost and what is it for?
Pro is $15 a month, cancel anytime. It is the diagram editor for professionals who need validated single-line diagrams but not permit plansets: the Coach AI assistant, the full permit and interconnection checks, design check PDF reports, and unlimited designs. Plansets are separate and use credits. Active planset customers get every Pro feature included.
Is this a subscription?
No. There's no monthly fee and no seat licensing. You buy credits when you need them and use them when you want. If you'd like a hands-off option, you can turn on auto-reload so your account tops up automatically when you run low, but it's optional.
What if my planset gets rejected?
Depends why. If it's a deficiency in the planset itself, something our check should have caught, we fix it free. If your AHJ wants something specific that's outside what a planset covers, that's a jurisdiction requirement, not a planset error: our experts will help you handle it. And if SDL genuinely can't produce what your project needs, we return the credit. You only pay for a planset the tool can actually deliver.
Do you offer volume or enterprise pricing?
Yes. For high-volume installers and EPCs, get in touch through the contact page and we'll set you up with volume pricing.
What about a PE stamp?
Stamps are available as a separate add-on on any finished planset, requested in-app. They're not part of your planset credits; you only pay for a stamp when a project requires one.
Just need the diagram editor?
The single-line diagram editor is its own free tool. Draw your system, check it against the NEC, and share it. Planset credits above are for when you need the full permit drawings.
